A cautioning to state’s legislators. As you engage in lawmaking, please do not allow federal to get your state just a little bit pregnant.
Please use your state’s constitution- and our United States Constitution - to identify and block any legislation that would allow federal to stray beyond its enumerated powers: The 10th Amendment states that "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Many federal employees – whether knowingly or not- will convince states that because “We give you money (less than 50% of what YOU give them) we now control every aspect of your life.”
They will demand you catalog and place in their federal data base, every acre of land, every acre feet of water and every living being.
They will tromp onto your property (without permission or warrant) to bully you with un-verifiable, un-warranted chimerical violations. They use YOUR money…not theirs…to tie you up into perpetuity forcing you to prove your innocence. Of course you’re left with zero choice but to use YOUR money to fight back. They use this formula because it’s proven to be a tried and true way for federal employees and their federally funded buddies to beat you down until they gain control over all your property; i.e. control your land, water, life.
Don’t let federal employees get your state a little bit pregnant. There’s no “pro-choice” here! Your state will be mandated to go full term and deliver your baby…back to them.
