Attn: Taylor McKinnon, Kieran Suckling,                                    December 21, 2017

Regarding: Cliven Bundy and Federal Lands

Excerpt from The Oregonian, Maxine Bernstein reporting…

"Any federal stumbling in this prosecution still doesn't relieve the fact the Bundys have been breaking the law by grazing their cattle unlawfully on public land, and their cows are still out there every day endangering protected species,'' said Taylor McKinnon, a public lands campaigner with the Center for Biological Diversity. "We want that problem fixed.''
McKinnon and Kieran Suckling, the center's executive director, held a large banner outside the Nevada courthouse that read, "We love public lands.''  Bundy followers stood in front and behind them. McKinnon and Suckling also were counter-protesters in 2016 at Malheur refuge takeover in southeastern Oregon.
The two are concerned that if the Bundys aren't held accountable for their actions, it will give further credence to their "militant participation in a broader move to seize public lands and hand them over to states.'    Maxine Bernstein for The Oregonian

Mr. Suckling and Mr. McKinnon, please provide:

1)  Your sources that claim, "public" land in Nevada; surveys of said land. If unable to find surveys, provide maps of land you claim to be public.
2)  Dates that identify your claim of “every day.”
3)  Any and all water and forage samples and other data you may have collected.
4)  List of “protected species,” dates said “protection commenced,” and their exact habit locations.
5)  List of other species that may or may not be “endangering” protected species.
6)  The “problem” you want “fixed.”
7)  You state, “We love public lands.” Does this mean “public” lands in the U.S.? If yes, provide surveys or maps of said lands, and the dates you claim they became public.
8)  In detail, your authority for, “fixing problems on public lands.”
9)  Photos, audio etc. and the laws/statutes you use to base your claim, “Bundys have been breaking the law by grazing their cattle unlawfully…”
10) Any materials you use that reference Allotment Owners on Federal land.
11) A description of “actions” you want the Bundys to be “accountable for.”
12) Sources of your claim, "...it will give further credence to their militant participation in a broader move to seize public lands and hand them over to states.’”
13) Dates and statutes you claim extinguished Bundy property rights on federal lands.

Thank you,

Roni Bell Sylvester
