If I were head of the Bureau of Land Management, here are some areas I'd fix posthaste.
1) Let go of at least 75% of the DC employees.
2) Let go of all field agents whose works involves FOIA, Equal Access, and violating statutes by managing the private businesses of those with preexisting, valid property rights.
3) Correct employee handbooks to stress valid preexisting property rights, and the authority of county sheriffs. [Unless county sheriff "deputizes" a federal agent, their law enforcement authority is limited.]
4) Keep range cons whose work addresses such as fire, safety, and protection of those who have preexisting valid property rights, lands without preexisting rights and non adjudicated water.
5) Post signage at all accesses to federal land with language that includes:
You are now entering split estate property.
This property may be a mix of deeded, valid preexisting rights and split estate. Please respect all property equally. Leave closed gates closed, open gates open, do no harm to any property, human, domestic or wild life.Taking such as and including water or forage samples is considered criminal trespass.
I can tell you from first hand experience, 75% of BLM employees are unnecessary.
Imagine the first go - plus multiplier - savings to taxpayers.
